Now that Britney Spears has checked out of rehab, Desperate Housewives actor Jesse Metcalfe has stepped up to the plate to take her place. His reps say that he is being treated for "alcohol issues." They also stated their wish for the media to "allow him the privacy to deal properly with his treatment." The star was recently kicked out of a hotel after he reportedly mistreated hotel staff. According to a report, Metcalfe, who is dating Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle, "blew up at the doorman at Skybar because they wouldn't let him in."

Current Miss USA, Tara Conner, will crown the newest Miss USA on Friday. After Tara's very public stint in rehab and admission of cocaine use, some are questioning the fairness in the competition. Miss USA contestants must not have ever been married or given birth. Last year after tabloids claimed that Tara was underage boozing and even using cocaine, Conner's boss, Donald Trump, held a press conference to reveal that he would give Tara a second chance. To continue as Miss USA, Trump required Tara to enter rehab for what her camp would only reveal as alcohol abuse. It was after exiting rehab that Tara Conner admitted on national television that she did use cocaine.

Will Kevin Federline receive $19 million from Britney Spears? It was revealed a few days ago that Britney Spears left the Promises rehab center before officially checking out so that she could finalize her divorce from Kevin Federline. Reports claim that Federline will receive $19 million, a $2 million lump sum, half of Britney's earnings during their marriage, and half of the earnings from the sale of their Malibu home. Two sources are claiming that Kevin Federline is not getting anywhere near the reported $19 million divorce settlement. Britney Spears was recently released from what was reported to be a 28-day stint in the Promises rehab facility. Her latest visit to rehab was the result of her mother, Lynne Spears, urging her to check herself in after she shaved her head bald, then attacked a vehicle and photographer with an umbrella.

. . . After being spotted at a restaurant, Winona Ryder has killed off rumors which left her dead. The rumors suggested that Ryder had committed suicide by overdosing on over two dozen sleeping pills. Some reports stated that the overdose caused Winona Ryder to go into cardiac arrest, which resulted in her death. Ryder refused to comment on the rumors.

A witness told a magazine, "There was no car seat. (Madonna) sat in the middle row and they left with David on her lap."

The following day, Madonna allegedly defied the law by once again by sitting in the middle of the vehicle with six-year-old son Rocco not properly secured. A representative for the singer slams the claims, saying: "Proper security measures are always taken for Madonna's children."
